UK To Wipe All Convictions That Occurred Under Buggary Laws

It looks like politicians in the UK have heard the chorus coming from the masses after Alan Turing was denied a posthumous pardon for his conviction for buggery.

The UK will now pardon all those who suffered convictions under the Sexual Offences Act of 1956. An estimated 16,000 convictions could now be eligible for removal from police records along with malicious convictions for “loitering with intent” according the Pink Press

Kudos UK! It puts a big smile on my faces when suggestions made in previous posts then come to fruition (though it is HIGHLY doubtful this blog was influential on that in anyway).

Petition for Marriage Equality in the U.K.

That’s right, for those of you who don’t know the U.K. actually only has civil unions not same-sex marriage. If you are from the U.K. please feel free click on the link and sign the petition.

UK Prime Minister, David Cameron, "I support same-sex marriage"

Great quote from him “Conservatives believe in the ties that bind us; that society’s stronger when we make vows to each other and we support each other. So I don’t support gay marriage in spite of being a conservative, I support gay marriage because I am a conservative.”

British Prime Minister Wants to Ban Same-Sex Kisses on TV

Wow, so the Queer community in England got a bit of a kick in the pants with the Prime Minister stating that he wants to see same-sex kisses on Television banned before 9pm. What’s next banning same-sex public displays of affection? I think this calls for a kiss in outside of 10 Downing street. To say I find the Prime Minister’s thoughts on this abhorrent is an understatement.
