I’ve been a fan of Torontonian Scotty Dynamo for about a year an a half now ever since I learned about him through gay blogger, and Scotty’s bf, Davey Wavey.
Scotty’s music is a great mix of rap, hip hop, dance/techno and contains a wonderful infusion of a cheeky and cocky persona that plays very well. With lyrics like “models keep throwing it up like Tom Brady” and “I’ve been writing rhymes since Bobby Brown’s been smoking crack” he has injected humour into his music so you can help but wear a smile while listening to it.
Definitely danceable his music is great way to gear yourself up for a night on the town and I look forward to hearing his tracks in the clubs soon.
Scotty Dynamo is a breath of fresh air to the industry as a talented, cheeky, young (he’s not even 20), queer Canadian artist. He has put down some great tracks and has done so while attending University. Big props to this up and comer, I can’t wait to see what Scotty does in the future and I recommend that others check him out if they’re looking for some fun local beats.
